Located in historic Back Bay on the corner of Newbury and Gloucester, Cafeteria is a cool, casual, contemporary atmosphere where the comfort food of "yesterday" gets schooled by the flavors of “today� to create a fine dining experience that is "tray chic."

Our inspiration comes from classic soul-satisfying American dishes that say, "welcome home." Our modern interpretations are prepared with organic grass-fed beef and lamb, free-range chicken, the freshest seafood and local produce. These properly raised ingredients are introduced to a new world of herbs, spices and culinary techniques to create deeply pleasing comfort food for the new millennium.

We kept the "select what you like" style of a cafeteria. But, at this cafeteria the food comes to you with, "select what you like" dining locations including the outdoor patio, first floor, or second floor, for private events.

The outdoor patio is available, weather permitting, for a sit-down lunch/dinner for up to 90 people, and a cocktail reception for 100.

The restaurant is available when you book your date and time in advance. The entire restaurant will accommodate a sit-down lunch/dinner up to 80 people, and a cocktail reception up to 150 people. We can also arrange half the restaurant for a slightly smaller sit-down lunch/dinner up to 40 people, or a cocktail reception up to 100 people. All of these options are also available for Sunday brunch.

Our private room on the second floor comfortably accommodates cocktail parties for 100 or a seated lunch/dinner for 50 people. The large windows on two sides of the room provide expansive views over Newbury Street and the perfect atmosphere for private lunches, brunch, dinner parties or cocktail receptions.

Clients can choose from a wide array of appetizers, entrees, desserts, beverages and wines, to create the right formula for their function. From passed hors d’oeuvres with drinks, to an intimate dinner party to a gala event, we can customize a menu that’s exactly right for your event.
