When asked what he likes most about his last four years working at Cafeteria, the trendy American restaurant located on Boston�s popular Newbury Street, executive chef Antonio Perez says, �I like that you can have fun with food and flavors, it�s like playing with your food which wasn�t allowed growing up.� The relaxed and swanky feel of Cafeteria is reflected by just that; a fun and flavorful menu.
Previously the Chef de Cuisine at Rustic Kitchen and the Sous Chef at Cafeteria, Perez has worked his way up the culinary ranks. While he currently resides in West Roxbury, Chef Perez credits his skills and expertise to his Mother and the influences of his hometown Tabasco, Mexico, which is reflected in his spin on flavors that he frequently incorporates into the menu.
